Ju-Jitsu
President: Uri Verthime
Instructor: Bevis Man
Ju Jitsu is an effective self-defence martial art that can help to improve strength, fitness, flexibility, co-ordination and posture. If you have ever wanted to try out a martial art and didn't know where to start, now's the time.
Beginners are very welcome to come along and try out a class at Goldsmiths Jitsu club. As one of only a few martial arts clubs at Goldsmith's university, Jitsu can help improve self-esteem and confidence and is also great way to have fun and a fantastic way to meet new friends, especially during the early weeks of university. The club has rapidly grown over the past few years into a vibrant and highly sociable club with club events and socials throughout the year.
The first session is FREE with subsequent sessions costing only £2 which is highly reasonable in comparisons to other forms of martial arts.
Training times are 7pm – 9pm Tuesday and Thursday evenings and the sessions are held in the Upper Gym Hall, Lockwood Building (next to The Pulse gym) on campus.
To join the Ji-Jitsu club please just go along to one of the training sessions or contact Debbie Irwin (Sports and Recreation Manager) d.irwin@gold.ac.uk
